Welcome to HBS Radio

We serve the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, comprising the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (including the new Jessop Wing), the Northern General Hospital and Weston Park Hospital, in Sheffield.

HBS has been in existence since 1976. It started with a few members of the public going round the wards with some records and a record player, playing patients' requests.

Now, 30 years later, we are still visiting the wards and collecting the requests, but HBS now broadcasts to the hospital community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, using a state-of-the-art audio system.
